What to Expect Worship Services God's Plan of Salvation Directions Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds. You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. (Hebrews 10;24-25 NCV) |
We love God and enjoy our time in Worship to Him. We hope you can join us too. Here's some information about what we do:
Singing: One of the unique things about the Church of Christ is that we choose to sing a cappella - without the accompaniment of musical instruments. This form of worship is consistent with the scriptures you'll find concerning music in the early Church (I Corinthians 14:15, Ephesians 5:18-19, Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 2:12) Prayers: We will conduct several prayers during the service. Our prayers are directed to God, through Jesus the Christ. (Matthew 21:22, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6-7) Sermon: We don't refer to our minister by any title, such as reverend. He won't be wearing any special clothes to set him apart. The reason for this is that the Bible teaches in the priesthood of all believers; that we are all equal (Matthew 23:8-12; Galatians 3:26-28; 1 Peter 2:5-9). We think you will find the teaching refreshingly Bible-centered. We strive to make it a positive message that will encourage you in your daily walk with God. The Lord's Supper: We observe this 'communion' every Sunday morning. This is also consistent with the early Church's teachings (Acts 20:7). We celebrate this common meal to remember Jesus and all He's done for us (I Corinthians 11:23-28). Offering: As part of our weekly worship service, each Sunday morning we will take up a financial offering (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). As our guest, please feel no obligation to contribute |
